Privacy Policy

This is the Privacy Statement for East City Wesleyan Church
We collect personal information from you, including information about your:

• name

• contact information

• Gender, Date of Birth, Marital status, Life dates e.g. wedding date, date you first came to our church, date you became a believer, baptism date, dedication date, date you left (if you do), partnership status, Police Vetting status, Roles you serve in, tithes, giving and donations.

We collect your personal information to:

• engage with you on the ministries and activities of the church

• provide opportunity for communication within the church by staff, leaders and the congregation through our Directory

Besides our staff and leaders, we share this information with:

• the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Aotearoa-New Zealand (WMCANZ) to enable the WMCANZ to engage with the church on its ministries and activities and to provide statistical information. Your name and contact details will only be provided to the WMCANZ if you are a key contact for a ministry or activity in our church. We also supply the WMCANZ with aggregated information which does not disclose any personal information.

• The congregation through our Directory

Providing some information is optional. It assists us to provide you with information about ministries and activities for discipleship and to provide you with a donations receipt for you to use to apply for a donations rebate through IRD.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at office@ecw.org.nz
