Membership

ECW´s membership concept is called "Partnership". Partnership involves a partnership among the believers at ECW to pursue our God-given vision - it´s a way of expressing our belonging to God and each other that emphasises our corporate commitment to ECW´s vision.

Partnership courses are run regularly by Rev Richard Waugh. For information on upcoming courses please contact the ECW office.

Communities

LifeGrowth Trust ("LGT")

The LGT is the community services arm of ECW. The Trust’s vision is to:
"Provide services to youth and families to enhance community resiliency, especially in the new Botany region of Manukau City"

In other words the LGT is aiming to be the fence at the top of the cliff rather than the ambulance at the bottom; to be salt and light in a proactive way!

The LGT organises Parenting seminars and in the past two years more that 600 parents have attended with Ian and Mary Grant of Parents Inc.

Other programmes the trust organises include: WiseMoney, Drug Proof Your Kids and soon a term time Firday night youth programme For details contact the director Margaret Grantham.

Partnerships

Here are a list of the partnerships ECW has made:

Local, National and International Partnerships
East City Wesleyan is a Church in the network of Wesleyan Methodist Churches around New Zealand, in partnership with each other for the purpose of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

Locally we are affiliated with the Manukau East Christian Leaders Network (of which Rev Richard Waugh served as a previous Chairman). We are a covenant Church with Habitat for Humanity (the first Church in New Zealand to do this) and are active supporters of the Auckland Emmaus Community with many of our ECW family having experienced the blessings of The Walk to Emmaus retreats (the Wesleyan Methodist Church of New Zealand is the sponsoring denomination of the Emmaus movement in New Zealand).

ECW is a fully committed member of NZ Christian Network (Vision Network).

Our international links to the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia, Global Partners (Wesleyan Missions) and The Wesleyan Church of North America are a special source of encouragement.
